The Prince Alvaro de Orleans Borbon Grant
The Aero Club of Canada Trust Fund Trustees are very interested in receiving requests for Grants in accordance with the terms of the Trust. The purpose of the Trust is to expand the interest and income therefrom in the promotion of aviation generally, provided however that neither interest nor income nor any part thereof may be used to defray the ordinary operation expenses, either partially or wholly, of the Aero Club of Canada or its members.

The Prince Alvaro de Orleans Borbon Grant is to be used for a prize which in principle should be awarded every two years with the goal of supporting research and innovation focused on the advancement of sport aviation and simulated flying. Any persons or institutions who have devoted themselves to create and/or promote technical developments and innovation in sport aviation can be eligible.
The deadline for receipt of Nominations is May 31 each second even year.

The point of contact in Canada for, and a Member of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI). The authority for the issuance of FAI sporting licences required for international competition or record setting by Canadian pilots and aerospace participants.
